Volunteer
While YMI has a staff, our ministry is made possible by the work of faithful volunteers. We are always looking for people who feel called to train, send and disciple young people with the purpose of raising them up to actively share their faith in Jesus with others. Whether you are interested in leading a team, teaching, or working behind the scenes, we would love to find a place for you on our team. Here are some ways you can serve as a volunteer with YMI:
- Join our prayer team . The best support we can ever receive is prayer. We are in need of people who will faithfully and consistently pray for the ministry and for the teams we send.
- Become a YMI Team Leader . Lead a team of 8-10 youth on a mission trip inside the U.S. or internationally. We are looking for married couples or individuals. Minimum age for leadership is 23.
- Be part of the YMI Training Team . We hold trainings for mission trips all across the U.S. If you have a desire to train teams of young people for mission trips, you might want to volunteer as a trainer. If you want to be a training support person (such as a cook for the training or administrative support) we need dedicated people for that too!
- Present YMI at your church and do an outreach . YMI not only arranges trips for individuals. We are here to help enable the church to mobilize its young people for local, regional and international mission work. Our goal is to help churches train their youth to evangelize in their communities. We offer outreaches and training for churches in their local area as well as international trips. Before we can help, though, we need someone to present what we can do for churches to the church itself.
- Help at the YMI Office . Our ministry has a constant administrative need as we work globally, arranging and planning trips. The more administratively savvy people we have assisting us, the more efficient we can be at the ministry God has given us.
