YMI Team Training
The first step to going on an international YMI Team is to sign up for a Training Camp. Before students can be assigned a team, they must successfully complete this 5-day training. At YMI Training Camp students will meet their team and leaders. They will also be told where their team will be going and what sort of ministry they will be likely involved in. During the training there will also be a 1-day evangelistic ministry they will participate in with their team.
Here are our Training Camp locations:

There are three things that students learn when they come to our Training Camps:
- How to work with others as a team.
- Tools that they can use to interpret and identify with other cultures.
- More about their relationship with God.
Our training is based on real-life situations that have occurred in the mission field and is tailored to the country in which the team will be doing ministry. We have seen young people truly grow as a result of Training Camps. Here is some of what they said they have learned:
"I learned that you can't do everything yourself. You need to depend on your team as well as God."
"The most rewarding experience was having God answer prayer! That was amazing!"
"I learned that God is always with us. He always has a plan and that it's our job to conform to it."
After you apply, once the application is processed (and if accepted), students will receive an invitation to one of their two chosen Training Camps. Instructions on when and where to arrive will be sent with this letter.
